Welcome to our Luxury Cottage in the Peak District
With views stretching across seven counties from Shropshire to Snowdonia and Cheshire to Manchester, Best View Barn has some of the most spectacular views in Britain. Perched high up on the edge of The Peak National Park our 180 degree panorama faces due west, so we get amazing sunsets, rivalling the Caribbean!
Newly converted, Best View Barn has been lovingly restored by local craftsmen and fitted out to the highest specifications. There are two double bedrooms, an en-suite bathroom, separate shower room, a large living room with exposed beams, a fully fitted kitchen and separate laundry facilities. Outside there is a fabulous terrace and the use of two fields. The views are simply panoramic. Although isolated and surrounded by nature, we are a mere 15 minutes drive to Macclesfield, 20 minutes to Buxton and an hour from Manchester. It’s a country-lover’s paradise!
We believe in little luxuries, so you'll find the best quality linen, complimentary products from Face Boutique and a delicious welcome hamper. If it snows we'll dig you out with our snowplough but whatever the weather you can walk for miles, enjoying the spectacular scenery. If you want to relax in the barn, we've supplied board games, a huge selection of books and magazines, dvd's, digital TV and radio and even a telescope. We welcome one well behaved dog, who hopefully can make friends with our dogs.
If you want a bit of culture, there's plenty in every direction from Buxton Opera House, to the numerous local National Trust properties such as Chatsworth House, Lyme Park and Tatton Hall. For the shopaholics, Manchester is an hour away in one direction, Stoke on Trent and the potteries an hour in the other direction. There are plenty of antiques and curiosities in Leek, Ashbourne and Bakewell.
We have tried to be as eco-friendly as possible and have recently won a Worcester Bosch Environment Award for the installation of the Barn's air to water heat pump.
