blackbrook lodge is situated close to the historic towns of ashbourne and belper.
we have 2 double rooms available for bed and breakfast, one is an en-suite sauna room [seperate from main house] and also converts to a family room which sleeps 4
also a double room with en-suite shower room inside the main house, which boasts a fantastic antique 'half tester' bed complete with drapes
breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house
we have 16 acres of beautiful grounds [gently sloping] for caravan and camping and lovely gardens with stunning views
a large lake and ponds are well stocked with fish [fishing is available] we also have our own resident geese and ducks.
the caravan site has only basic amenities of fresh water tap and chemical toilet waste disposal, and are caravan club registered
no electric hook ups [as yet] but we are hoping to get some installed sometime this year
lovely walking area and in close proximity to carsington water sports centre and alton towers.
lovely country pubs less than a mile away who all serve really good 'pub grub' include the 'tiger' cowers lane, cross keys, cowers lane and the hanging gate at shottle.
a little further afield is the saracens head at shirley which is an award winning 'gastro pub' and i can highly reccomend them! for something a little more special.
