The picturesque villages of Kingsand & Cawsand are the perfect base, from which to explore Cornwall's forgotten corner. The villages alone have 3 family friendly beaches in a sheltered bay, the more adventurous may prefer the more rugged Whitsand Bay, only a short drive away.
Blue Monkey is situated in the heart of the villages, within meters of the beach, delicatessen, village shop & other amenities. A recently refurbished spacious 18th century Grade II listed house it mixes contemporary and traditional features, all-white walls, pretty coastal-scene artworks and a sympathetic refurbishment provides a revitalising seaside freshness. It comfortably sleeps 8 and welcomes well behaved pets.
The kitchen is very well equipped with all modern appliances, every culinary implement you could wish for and crockery by Emma Bridgewater. Store cupboard essentials are provided & other basics such as fresh bread & milk are available upon request, when guests are arriving on a changeover day. The 4 elegant spacious double bedrooms are light and airy, the comfy beds are covered in crisp Egyptian linen and the luxurious ensuite bathrooms are divine. There is a spacious living room with open log fire, a dining room & sunny patio garden with bbq and 2 kayaks (2 adult and 2 child lifejackets are available), which creates a home away from home, a world away from city life. It's hard to imagine this sweet Cornish house supposedly according to locals used to be cannon ball store and a pub which Nelson frequented.
