Our superb luxury holiday cottages have been national winners of VisitBritain’s Excellence in England Gold and Silver Awards for self-catering holiday. The twelve stylish and luxurious Victorian self-catering cottages sleep 2-10 in an area of outstanding natural beauty half an hour from Oxford, in a small hamlet near Chipping Norton. Set in impressive landscaped gardens, the cottages combine the best of old and new; open fires, four poster beds and antique furniture as well as state of the art bathrooms, kitchens and central heating. A delightful place to unwind and a perfect base for touring the Cotswolds, the cottages, to quote the award citation, offer “Superb quality, giving visitors a taste of what’s best in England, and welcoming children too.”

Bruern 5 star self catering cottages are the holiday rental benchmark for the most prestigious national and official UK inspection organizations.
All of the rooms in our luxurious cottages have a warm, colourful décor, with rich textures, antique furnishings and cashmere throws. It gives that timeless look and feel you want to find in a country house. The kitchens come equipped with all of the mod cons such as fridge, freezer, dishwashers, microwaves, blenders and mixers while still maintaining an antique feel. The kitchen is so well equipped, in fact, that it could deal with cooking for up to thirty people.
The cottages also have widescreen TV’s with sky; a telephone and broadband facilities; a dvd player with a huge selection of videos to watch in our video library. So when you come back after a long days walk you can unwind in front of the fire.
A towelling bathrobe is provided and the shower is a power shower. Special arrangements can be made for those with any kind of issue, form bad backs to allergies.
For the energetic there is tennis, croquet, swimming or the gym. There are also spa facilities for, shall we say, the more relaxed!
We are very child friendly here at Bruern Luxury Cottages and just some of the activities available for kids include bicycles, pedal cars, Wendy houses, and climbing frame and play cabin.
Our 5 Star Self-catering Cottages location in the Cotswolds
A car is advised for our self catering holiday cottages due to the rural location. There is fishing available nearby if you are a keen angler. There is also a golf club, horse riding and other equestrian activities available near the cottages.
Due to it’s fantastic location right in the Cotswolds, these cottages are in the perfect location for walking or cycling, there are also a variety of mountain bike routes available.
Oxford is half an hour away, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare National Theater under an hour and Cheltenham (racing and the annual Literary Festival) much the same. There are lovely wildflife walks in the neighbouring Nature Reserve at Foxholes and along the Oxfordshire Way, which runs through Bruern.
Location
Bruern is also easy to get to by train and car - Central London is just an hour and a half by either, and there are direct trains from there to Kingham station which is just 5 minutes drive away. It is also about the same distance from Birmingham and Bristol.
