Welcome to our Holiday House in Spain
Istán is one of the Pueblos Blancos (white villages) of Andalucía on the edge of the National Park of the Sierra de las Nieves. The Rio Verde runs through the Park which is magnificent walking country, with wild flowers, birds, natural springs and native woodland set in a southern Spanish mountain climate. It is reached by a 12 mile drive on mountain road from Marbella.
It is a well cared for and beautiful village of 1500 people. There are two small supermarkets, a bank, three or four restaurants and several bars, most of which serve tapas. There is a market two days a week, and fresh fish is brought from the coast most days. Little English is spoken in the village but visitors are very welcome. The village has a public swimming pool, with landscaped gardens, open during the summer months.
The house is a traditional Andalucian tiled white house with two floors of fully furnished accommodation for 2 or 3 people. The house is on the northern side of the village with spectacular views of the mountains.
The lounge/diner, which has two balconies, contains a simple kitchenette with fridge and two burner cooker. There is a woodburning stove for winter evenings, and a sofa which can be converted to a bed. Above is a pretty bedroom with a double bed, and a bathroom (with shower). Linen and bath towels are supplied. On the roof of the house is an attractive private terrace.
Casa Diez is available for holiday bookings from April to October.
