Welcome to our Large Self Catering Cottage
Caulnes cottage is the larger of three terraced cottages set in a quiet, rural location. The cottage is full of french character which houses a traditional styled Breton fireplace.
Our Brittany Holiday Accommodation
Sleeping accommodation on the 1st floor comprises of two large bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double and a single bed. There is also a full size single bed on the landing. Each of the rooms are decorated to a high standard and are fully carpeted with wardrobes and bed side units and reading lamps.
The bathroom with full size bath and shower tap attachment, hand-basin and toilet is also on the 1st floor.
The ground floor is in a traditional French country style, with the kitchen being part of the main living area, the dining area, complete with dining furniture is adjacent to both the kitchen and the lounge. The kitchen comes fully furnished with all modern amenities including, a fridge, washing machine, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and electric cooker with full oven and hob to ensure all your catering needs are met.
The living area is comfortably furnished and nicely decorated with a 3 piece suite and features a traditional-style Breton fireplace, satellite television and the spiral staircase to the 1st floor.
Outside of the property, there is ample off street parking and a large grassy area. To add to your enjoyment we are delighted to provide a barbecue and traditional wooden picnic table, which can be most relaxing on a hot day when you can shelter from the heat of the sun under the shade of the mature oak trees in the grounds.
Children are most welcome at our property and there is plenty of space for them to play outside on our large grassy area.
Our locaton in Brittany
Caulnes Cottage is located in Yvignac-La-Tour in the region of Cotes-d'Armor in Brittany. It is approximately 15km from the medieval town of Dinan and a 40 minute drive from the walled city of St Malo where you can catch the ferry.
Its location to St Malo means it is easy to get to from the uk, as there are many daily ferry crossings in and out of St Malo.
The area has many beautiful sandy beaches such as Sables d'Or, St Jacut, Dinard and St Cast. it is also near the excellent beach of Lancieux, which is noted for its modern wind surfing and water sports which contrast with the local traditions like seaweed collection.
The area is also very historical and is home to many different historical sites such as medieval town of Dinan and the Capital of Brittany with its medieval streets, half timbered houses and the Brittany Museum
