Our apartment has an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area, with the kitchen being fully fitted and well eqipped with dishwasher, microwave and full sized oven and hob; one double bedroom, a bathroom (with washing machine) and a separate toilet situated on the first floor. A large south-facing balcony runs the width of this floor and has lovely views towards the local waterfall and mountains.
Our chalet sleeps up to 8; with 2 separate bedrooms each with a standard sized double bed, and a further room with three standard singles and one further pull-out single. There are two bathrooms, one of which has a shower cubicle instead of a bath, and two separate toilets.
Location
The apartment is an easy and level 5 minute walk from Samoens village centre where you will find a selection of shops, restaurants, bars and two small supermarkets. Samoens village is located in the Vallée du Giffre in the French Alps.
Winter in the The Samoens
During winter the free ski bus stops directly outside the chalet and all year round the "septi-train" does frequent circuits of the village (payable). In the Grand Massif ski area there is 265 km of ski slopes are available. The area consist of 5 very well linked resorts - Samoëns, Morillon, Flaine, Sixt and les Carroz. From 1,600m to 2,500m. The area has virtually no crowds, and very little, if any, queuing is necessary.
Summer in The Samoens
In the Summer months activities on offer in this area include swimming, walking, cycling, rafting, or guest can visit neighbouring towns / lakes in France, Switzerland or Italy.
About 1.5Km away from our chalet is an outdoor leisure complex. Nearby there is also two beautiful lakes for fishing or walking around or swimming and sunbathing. Other activities on offer include Football, Tennis, Archery, Horse riding, mountain biking.
