Welcome to 'Le Quatorze', Chambres d'Hôtes in Le Pays de Questembert in Southern Brittany.
We are artists, originally from Guernsey, Channel islands. Valerie is a painter and Christophe is a sculptor. We exhibit our work in galleries and in salons d'art throughout France.
We welcome visitors to our home 'Le Quatorze' to stay in our Chambres d'Hotes or to visit our studios, gallery and sculpture garden.
Our home is a late victorian style Pavilion built in 1920, it has many authentic features and is decorated in a contemporary style, with all modern amenties. We are situated 100 yards from the town centre and 100 yards from one of the many beautiful walks/cycle paths in the area. We have secure off road parking in our enclosed garden facing south west.
You will find examples of our art, both paintings and sculptures throughout the house and in the garden.
We have four bedrooms available, 1 family room, 2 doubles and 1 twin. Each of them are a different size and they are individually decorated in a bright and luminous contemporary style, and have their own showers and WC.
Breakfast is served either in the dining room, the conservatory or on the terrace, depending on the weather and your preferences. We offer a choice of fresh croissants and bread from one of the many local boulangeries, plus cereals/muesli, yoghurt, jam and honey from the region, fruit juices, tea, infusions and coffee.
During your stay you will be welcome to visit our studios, you can also relax on a deck chair in the garden. There is a sitting room with TV (french only) on the ground floor, for the exclusive use of guests during the day or evening.
You will find further information on our website, although not all of it is in English at the present time. However, we are happy to supply answers to any questions you may have, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or telephone.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing our enthusiasm for this beautiful region as well as our passion for art.
