Welcome to Chambres D'hôtes De L’hippodrome, our B&B in St Michel en Brenne
Welcome to our comfortable B&B in the St Michel en Brenne region of the Brenne National Park. Situated on 31 acres beautiful lowlands, forests and ponds, this beautiful 19th century Farm house was once the home of a popular race track, and has been restored to its original grandeur, staying faithful to the style of the era. In the peaceful surroundings of the grounds and gardens, you can relax in complete tranquillity and enjoy a very laid back atmosphere. We also breed golden retrievers and flatcoat retrievers on our property, which are all very friendly and good with children.
Our St Michel en Brenne Bed and Breakfast Accommodation and Features
Our B&B has three rooms to offer for use, which are a selection of double and twin rooms, all with en suite bathrooms. The rooms are all fully furnished and tastefully decorated, and all have plenty of storage space, a table and chair, and side lamps. All the rooms are kept to a high standard of cleanliness, as are the bathrooms, which come fully fitted and very modern. Breakfast is served every morning, and is freshly prepared from ingredients sourced locally. There is a large dining area with a communal table, so guests can meet each other and feel included and at ease, and a spacious living area with television and modern equipment for guests to relax in.
Outside there is a heated swimming pool which is open until 6pm for all our guests to use, and children must be supervised at all times while in the pool. The pool can be opened up on sunny days, or in the colder months a large shelter can be extended over it to allow it to be used all year round.
Our Chambre D’Hote Location in the Brenne National Park
Due to its rural location, our comfortable B&B is perfect for those looking for a completely relaxing holiday in a beautiful countryside setting. There are opportunities for scenic walks around the grounds and the surrounding area, as well as good places for cycling. The idyllic woods are perfect for a quiet stroll through the trees, where you can observe the local wildlife, and the ponds on the grounds are excellent for fishing in. The Loire valley is a short distance away and is renowned for its fantastic scenery, where there is excellent mountain biking opportunities and fantastic climbs. The historical town of Argenton-sur-Creuse is only a short drive away, where there is a castle and beautiful old houses bordering the river Creuse.
