Welcome to Cibrantot Cottage, our Holiday Cottage in Normandy
Welcome to our charming little cottage near a picturesque hamlet, half an hour south of Cherbourg, in the Normandy region of France. Our traditional stone cottage is of traditional stone from the local area, has a beautiful red tiled roof, and is less than three miles from the spectacular Normandy beaches, which are steeped in history and are a great place to visit. There are many other places of historical and natural interest in the area, as well as an abundance of wildlife, such as butterflies, birds of prey and glow worms. While being situated in a very rural area which is perfect for a relaxing holiday, our holiday cottage is also only two miles from the nearest motorway, making access to other, larger places not a problem.
Our Normandy Self Catering Features and Accommodation
Our holiday cottage provides self catering holiday accommodation for up to five people in one double room and one family room. The double room is beautifully decorated and has a king size double bed, side tables with lamps, an armchair, and ample storage space. The second bedroom is also well decorated, with a standard double bed, full size bunk beds and plenty of storage space. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor, alongside the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is large and well equipped with modern appliances and ample surface areas for cooking on. The entrance room is comfortable and well decorated with a sofa, an armchair and several books for our guests to read at their leisure, and also has an open fire. There is a sitting room with a sofa bed that can be used as a third bedroom, which also has a tv, dvd player, Video player and a CD/Radio/Cassette player. The bathroom is modern and equipped with a thermostatic shower, Victorian bath, toilet and sink.
Outside in the enclosed garden, there is a patio area with a bbq and dining table and chairs, so guests can enjoy a bbq in the sun, and also another seating area with deckchairs so guests can sunbathe and relax.
Our Holiday Cottage’s Location in Normandy
Normandy is known to be one of the most beautiful regions of northern France, and our Holiday Cottage goes well with the fantastic surroundings. Nearby, in the small town of Sainte Mere Eglise, you can find all the amenities you would normally find, while still retaining the feel of being in a quiet village. There are local markets, restaurants, chateaux, golf and riding facilities and countless churches and museums among other things like bars and cafés. Less than three miles away are the sandy beaches of Normandy, where the calm warm seas make it suitable for swimmers of all levels, including children.
There are many other attractions in the area, for example water sports, golf, cycling, mountain biking, walking, climbing, horse riding and swimming in the nearby pool. As the beaches of Normandy are steeped in history, there are a lot of historically related attractions in the area. From museums to commemorate the soldiers who died there, to the actual gun emplacements and suchlike, which have been kept in very good condition and preserved for future generations to observe, so they may learn about the war and how it affected the world and its people.
