The interior is light and comfortable and retains the original charm with oak and slate running through the pub. The name comes from the roofing slate once mined in the village.The A La Carte menu is based on fresh and locally sourced ingredients which changes regularly to follow the seasons. We have an extensive wine list and cask ales from our local brewer Everards who were named Pub Company of the Year 2007.
