The cosy under canvas tranquil glamping site lends itself to a relaxed, alternative break away from the trappings of a hectic life. It is perfect for those who love the idea of a unique, low impact and environmentally friendly camping holiday with everything provided, plus a touch of luxury.
Each Kata tipi is 5.3m in diameter, sits on a wooden platform and comfortably sleeps four adults, two on a double futon bed and two on roll out futon mattress. The futon is topped with traditional welsh blankets, throws and sheepskins.
To complete the cosy camping experience each Kata tipi also houses a stylish wood burning stove that heats the tipi in no time and can be stoked up to keep you toasty over night. Sumptuous duvets and crisp cotton bedding can be provided and there's a chiminea on the deck of each tipi that's great for toasting marshmallows or even your toes after an adventurous day out and about!
The spacious dome is 6m in diameter and 4m high and sits on a wooden platform. It can sleep four adults, two on a comfy double bed, made from locally sourced wood with a sumptuous mattress and two on single futon beds.
The bed is topped with a luxurious, contemporary welsh blanket and the futons with throws and a sheepskin. Cosy duvets and crisp cotton bedding can be provided for a small extra charge. Inside there's a gas bottle, recycled as a wood burning stove, to ensure you can always be toasty on those sometimes chilly summer evenings. There are also huge comfy beanbags that can be used outside on the deck if you like.
The cosy under canvas tipis and dome are situated in an idyllic, natural woodland, off the beaten track and away from any light pollution. Our home is a short walk from the woodland and if you’d like to come up and feed the friendly pig your veggie scraps or seek out freshly laid eggs from the chickens and ducks, then please feel free.
At cosy under canvas we try to keep our impact on the environment to a minimum. There is a compost loo and washroom in the woods. Alternatively pop up to the house and use the more conventional wet room.
No camping experience is complete without a roaring fire and there is one basket of wood provided for your arrival. Cook on the open fire, have a BBQ or knock yourself something up on the camping stove in the simple, shared deck kitchen.
The kitchen is equipped with traditional enamel crockery, pots, pans, cutlery and cooking utensils, a cool box and storage box for dried food. Fresh filtered spring water is provided in a butt in the kitchen and washroom for drinking, washing, washing up and cooking.
There's undercover space for everyone to sit if you do need to shelter or park yourself on the picnic blanket for a more rustic, summery feel to your meal.
