Welcome to our Self Catering Cottage in the Lake District
Upstairs in the cottage there are three bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 – double bed, fitted cupboards, en-suite bath/basin and toilet and views up towards Great Dodd.
Bedroom 2 – twin beds, fitted cupboards, dressing table.
Bedroom 3 – king-size double bed fitted cupboards and dressing table.
2nd Bathroom - bath, basin and toilet.
Downstairs there is a large sitting room and dining area dates back to the 17th century. There is Sky TV, video and stereo radio, and books and games. There is also a traditional open coal burning range, with two sofas and two armchairs.
Stunning views from all windows of Matterdale / Watermillock Fells.In the kitchen there is an Aga and refectory table and sofa.
Location
Our cottage is located exactly halfway between Keswick and Penrith with easy access to Ullswater, 5mins from Patterdale and 10mins from Keswick. We are located in an idyllic area at the head of the Matterdale Valley.

You are sure to find Lake District attractions and activities to suit the entire family in the Western Lake District. There is a wide variety of things to see and do on offer in West Cumbria. We have award winning Lake District visitor attractions as well as exciting new activities and many outdoor pursuits in the Lake District. The possibilities are endless. You can go cycling, walking, fishing, mountain biking, climbing, and a wealth of other things, alongside visitor centres, museums and guided walks.
