Donkey May Self Catering Cottage Broadstairs Kent, Broadstairs holiday cottage

This pretty character cottage is a one-off and provides comfortable accommodation in the very heart of Broadstairs. However with character sometimes comes quirks and in this case the staircase leads directly from the lounge and is a squared-off spiral, solid but quite steep. Donkey May Cottage is not, therefore, ideal for people with mobility problems and maybe not for young children.  My Shih Tzu dog does not attempt to climb the staircase but the Shar-pei has no problems at all with it. Humans either love or loathe the staircase too but every one agrees the cottage is lovely.

The through-lounge is triple aspect and some windows look directly onto the allotments.The front bedroom, which has 2 single beds which may be placed side by side to make a huge double, also has a very pleasant view. 2nd bedroom has a 4'6" double bed.

The large bathroom is on the first floor and has a separate shower as well as a bath.

There is on-street parking but the cottage is in central Broadstairs so first come first served. However Vere Road car park is at the top of the pathway leading from the side of the cottage and there is another car park at the bottom of the road. The railway station is 11 minutes walk away through the park.
