Self catering traditional highland croft house for holiday lets in Brora, Sutherland, Scotland.
Dromia croft house was built in 1854, in its current form it has three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and spacious landing.
Situated in its own three quarters of an acre in the quite settlement of East Clyne, Dromia lies one mile to the north of Brora overlooking the Dornoch Moray and Cromarty Firths with stunning views out to sea, over the village of Brora itself and west up Strath Brora.
All three bedrooms and the living room look out to these stunning land and sea scapes and both sun rise and sun set can be seen from the house.
The three bedrooms consist of one with a double bed and two with twin single beds. The house is fully carpeted through out except for the bathroom and kitchen which have vinyl.
The house has been fully redone for the 2011 season and comes appointed with tv, electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, iron and washing machine.
The bathroom has wc, shower and bath.
The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.
Heating is from a coal fire in the cosy living room with radiators through out the house, complimentary bag of coal is included. There are also two halogen heaters, water heater and electric shower.
Dromia is a no smoking home and pets are not allowed indoors.
Dromia is also a working croft and the tenant may occasionally need access past the house.
The house itself is situated at the end of its own road and is secluded and peaceful with the sights and sounds of nature to keep you company.
Brora itself boasts the industrial heritage of Sutherland, stunning beaches, a golf course, distillery (home of the famous Clynelish malt whisky), fishing and wonderful country side to explore by car bike or foot.
Dromia is the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings or as base for more activity based holidays.
Brora boasts an 18 hole links course that was designed by James Baird and hosts the famous Brora Golf Week in May each year. There are also courses at near by Dornoch, Golspie and Helmsdale.
The river and loch Brora are famous trout and salmon waters as well as the local estates providing a wide range of sporting and shooting activities.
Dromia is ideally situated for walkers to base their holidays with gentle local walks to the more challenging mountains of Sutherland for the Munroe baggers.
The area also provides rich and diverse interest for bird and animal and the Loch Fleet National Nature reserve is only 8 miles away. Dromia itself is a wild life haven with roe deer and owls making the croft their special home, quiet early risers will see them from the house.
There is also pony trekking available as well as many opportunities for sight seeing whatever your interests.
Brora and its surroundings are well served with shops and places to eat and Inverness is only an hours drive away.
