This beautiful house is a very comfortable base from which to explore the area. Dating back to the 13th Century, it has 21st Century mod cons. It has appeared in a number of interior design magazines internationally.
Each of the four rooms is spacious with king sized beds, and en suite bath and shower rooms; two sitting rooms in addition to the large roof terrace - which is ideal for soaking up the sun, even in winter when temperatures here can be surprisingly mild. The owners are passionate cooks, so it is worth eating here. If you chose to eat out, there are a number of good restaurants in the vicinity.
Ille-sur-Tet, an interesting village itself, is set in the heart of a very diverse area. Historically rich, there are a wide variety of landscapes and thus activities available within easy range. A paradise for those who love the outdoors, as well as those who like good food and wine. The nearest beach is within half an hour, as is Spain.
