The Palmento is in the deep rural country in the protected area of Mount Etna Nature Park, at the foothills of Europes’s largest active volcano. The view stretches from the coast of Calabri, to Taormina and to the seaport Riposto and to Mount Etna.

 

It rises on top of a 3-acre fruit park with trees bearing organic fruit all year round ripening on the naturally fertilized volcanic soil.Thanks to its unique geographical position between the Mediterranean Sea exposed foothills and the very often snow capped Mount Etna our surrounding is blessed by the best microclimate: sun, warmth and heat by day…up to top-less levels in winter (forget about Jan/Feb), fresh to cold by night even in summer from sunset to sunrise because of the inversion of the Mediterranean Sea breeze.
