Welcome to Fairfield - a luxurious yet practical house for 14 guests on the Cumbria/ Lancashire border
Fairfield is situated in the village of Priest Hutton. It is easily accessed from junction 35 of the M6 motorway and is handy for visiting the Southern Lake District - Windermere and Ambleside as well as the Yorkshire Dales.
In the immediate area there are several attractions within walking distance, including The Greenlands Farm Village, with open farm, indoor soft play, shops, eateries and pottery workshop; The Longlands pub and restaurant and The Water’s Edge Restaurant.
Fairfield is a wonderful place to meet up with family and friends, with lots of space for everyone both inside and in the superb grounds.
It offers a double and a twin bedroom on the ground floor as well as a bathroom with toilet, basin, bath and separate shower enclosure.
Also on the ground floor is the well equipped kitchen including ample worktop and storage space, a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob and both an electric double oven and oil-fired Rayburn cooker. The kitchen opens through to the dining room; at one end of the room there is a long table with 14 chairs, at the other there is a cosy seating corner with a wood burning stove and TV. A further door from the kitchen leads to the utility room; this has a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as an additional fridge and large upright freezer.
On the first floor is the impressive lounge. Its elevated position and balcony with patio doors make the most of the very pleasant outlook across the countryside. There is easy seating for 14 and a wall mounted TV.
On the second floor there is one double, two bunk and two king bedrooms.
The master king bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, basin and Japanese style bath with shower over.
Both the second king and upstairs double bedrooms have vanity basins. There is a further bathroom on this floor with toilet, basin and bath with over bath shower.
The gardens and grounds are superb! There is a dining patio with outdoor table and chairs for 14 arranged near a brick built barbeque. A summerhouse stores a selection of outdoor games and also sun loungers for use on the sun terrace. There is a coffee deck with rattan furniture and children’s play areas including swings, Wendy house and football goal.
At the front of the property is a large parking area for nine cars.
While Fairfield accommodates up to 14 guests, if there are fewer of you yet would love to stay, please contact us to discuss. We offer the option of shutting off rooms and reducing the price for smaller numbers of guests.
