Forest View Caravan is based on the edge of a fragrant Eucalypt and Pine forest part way between the lovely Market town of Figueiro Dos Vinhos and the beautiful Lake of Cabril. The comfortable two berth Caravan has an excellent sunny outlook with stunning far-reaching views of the forest and away to the hills beyond.
The forest edge location makes this the perfect getaway holiday for walkers, ramblers or anyone just wishing to wind down and relax. Yet it is only a few moments drive from the main IC8, and nearby Figueiro Dos Vinhos and all amenities
Forest View has all the comforts you would expect from a good caravan holiday, a reasonable sized comfortable lounge area (which converts to a large double bed) with plenty of wardrobe and overhead locker space, plus a large fitted chest of drawers and a gas space heater for chilly nights in autumnThe fitted kitchen area has a sink with hot/cold running water, fridge, gas hob and good-sized oven. Again there is plenty of cupboard and locker space, plus of course all crockery and utensils needed for cooking light meals.The compact shower room and toilet has a fitted shower tray and fold down basin with cupboard above, plus cassette portaloo toilet.
Forest View has electric hook-up and gas supplied free of charge all year round. Also supplied is all bed linen and towels. One change per week. Forest View Caravan is based on a small organic home holding, the owners producing organic vegetables, wine, olive oil and fruit. Organic vegetable boxes and home produced wine can be purchased during the appropriate seasons.
Outside there is a small private seating /eating area which has stunning views of the hills and forest. Caravan guests also have use of the secluded pool, and lovely sun deck, there is a shady seating area with brick built bbq for guests use . The nearby off road parking is private and secure
Easy rambling trails and forest walks are all around and very easily accessible. And the local village café /bar is just a 10 minute walk away.
Figueiro Dos Vinhos is a mere 5 klm drive or a comfortable 45 min walk away, where you will find all the facilities to enhance your stay, three supermarkets, a library, Cinema, Internet Space, indoor swimming pool, a wonderful Saturday market bursting with local colour and culture. The pretty town has an abundance of small shops, cafes/bars and good reasonably priced restaurants.
The local area abounds with crystal clear lakes and fluvial beaches all within a few minutes drive, where you can swim, relax and often get a meal or a snack in the onsite café. The Cabril Lake is just a 9klm drive away. Among its amenities are water sports, fishing and well-routed nature walks and rambles for all levels. There is an excellent lakeside restaurant and bar.
Forest View is central for either Lisbon or Porto airports, being roughly 2 hours or so drive from both.
