Welcome to Furzehill Farm bed and breakfast. We are situated within 140 acres of land in the heart of picturesque South Pembrokeshire and near the inlets of the stunningly beautiful Cleddau estuary. We offer excellent B&B in a great location and dogs and horses are welcome as we have our own equestrian facilities. So if you’re looking for a Horse and Rider holiday in Wales or to explore Pembrokeshire with you family, pets or horses, then we have the bed and breakfast accommodation for you!
Our Guest house and B&B accommodation
Furzehill Farm is a comfortable farmhouse bed and breakfast with plenty of character. We have three guest bedrooms including a family room with shower en-suite, and double and bunk-bed rooms with a private Jacuzzi bathroom.
We use a traditional Aga for all our cooking and source all our ingredients locally from Pembrokeshire whenever possible. We offer a range of breakfast options to suit all tastes, please just let us know of any dietary requirements. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the locality for evening meals, although we also offer evening meals by arrangement. We also offer maps & packed lunches for those looking to spend the day exploring the area on foot or horseback.
Horse and Rider Holidays in Wales
Our farmhouse B&B has excellent equestrian facilities and is therefore ideal for horse enthusiasts to enjoy riding their own horses over delightful Pembrokeshire countryside and the Cleddau estuary. Horses can be stabled or turned out and have the use of our yard facilities. There is extensive riding locally over beautiful countryside including many bridleways. Cresswell Quay is just a mile down the road where you can ride in the water and then have a drink at the pub whilst on horse-back! At another beautiful inlet called Garron Point horses can swim when the tide is in!
Weoffer a variety of equestrian services including livery, breaking, schooling, competing etc & problem horses. Horse riding lessons at a local yard can also be arranged. We always have a selection of horses and ponies for sale and we hire experienced horses for hunting during the winter.
Hunting Weekends
Our local hunt - The South Pembrokeshire go out Trail Hunting twice weekly between September and March. We have hired out horses for hunting for over 20 years. Come for a Hunting Weekend and enjoy the local hospitality!
Our Pembrokeshire Location
Furzehill Farm bed and breakfast is on our working farm of 140 acres run on conservation lines under the Care of the Countryside Scheme. We have two sssi's (Site of Special Scientific Interest) on the farm and over 40 acres of natural woodland set in the heart of picturesque Pembrokeshire, South-West of Wales.
We are close to Lawrenny, Landshipping and Cresswell Quay with its public house. Our bed and breakfast is also an ideal base to explore the coastal towns & beaches including Tenby and Saundersfoot, and the sandy beaches further north towards St.David’s and the wilder landscape of the Preseli mountains, and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
The area is ideal for walking (including the 180 miles of the Pembrokeshire coastal path), riding, surfing, sailing, fishing and much more. For bird /Island lovers there are boats trips to Caldy Island and Sea Safaris to Skomer, Skokholm, Grassholm and Ramsey Islands. There are many local things to do and places to see, with major tourist attractions in South Pembrokeshire including Oakwood Leisure Park, Folly Farm, The Dinosaur Park, Clerkenhill Adventure Farm, Heatherton and a new attraction Blue Lagoon water park.
