Clinging to the side of one of the most scenic of lakeland dales, the reaches of Ullswater, are viewed spread below and along the valley. The nearby track that leads fell walkers to that magical and mighty summit Helvellyn, passes by the entrance to the farm.
The village of Glenridding, which originally housed the miners from the disused Greenside mine, has a good selection of general food and gift stores, a National Park information centre, post office, cafes and restaurants, together with a variety of hotel and picturesque public bars -just 5 minutes walk away, beside the shores of Ullswater.
Facilities provided for your comfort include a constant supply of hot and cold water in the toilet block with the added benefit of relieving tired and aching muscles with a piping hot shower after your day in the outdoors. Deep sinks are available for the cleaning of pots and pans and a laundry with washer and drier are there for your use. The farm will be pleased to supply you with fresh milk and eggs - just ask at the farmhouse.
