We have three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one room which can be made up with twin beds or a super king; all rooms have en suite facilities, tv and hospitality trays. There is a comfortable lounge with tv, dvd player, books, maps and games, tea, coffee and biscuits, which is very popular with our guests. Beautiful views of the sun setting over the Eildon Hills can be enjoyed from our Gazebo. Guests are welcome to explore our garden and visit our hens.
Our location in the centre of the Scottish Borders makes us ideal for all Borders’ activities, Golf, the Roxburghe Championship Golf Course is half a mile down the lane; Walking, the Borders Abbey Way passes the bottom of our lane and St Cuthberts Way passes close by (we offer a pick up and drop off service) there are many local walks which we can advise on; Fishing, The Teviot is at the bottom of the lane and the Tweed 2 miles away in Kelso; Cycling, we are close to many cycling routes; Historic Houses, Abbeys and Castles, Floors Castle is in Kelso, Abbotsford, home to Sir Walter Scott is close by as are many other places of historic interest; Shopping, most of the border towns offer small shops selling individual goods, often locally sourced, if you are looking for something different try the Borders; Eating, there are numerous restaurants, and cafes to sample the best food the Borders has to offer.
