A lovely 17th century farmhouse in a beautiful wooded valley overlooking the Howgill Fells. Set in nearly an acre of private garden and woodland, Goodies Farmhouse has a beautiful lounge with original oak beams and a open fire for coal and logs. The dining area has a magnificent 16th century oak refectory table and eight carved oak chairs.
There is a delightful conservatory with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding countryside. The newly fitted kitchen, with a beautiful granite worktop, is very well equipped and the utility room has plenty of extra fridge/food storage.
The old oak staircase leads up to the three bedrooms, a twin room, double room with an amazing 5’ carved oak bed, and master bedroom (5’ bed) with lovely views; this room has a good-sized en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has bath and shower. All the beds are sumptuously comfortable with mattresses from Harrods and finest quality bedlinen.
