Welcome to our Holiday Cottage in the New Forest
Our cottage offers a well fitted kitchen which leads to the 20 foot lounge with a dining table and writing desk in the two bay windows. There are two bedrooms; the main one with a double bed and electric blanket looks on to the garden and the other has bunk beds which are 3 foot wide and 6 foot long and are suitable for children and adults. A cot can be installed in the second bedroom as well. The bathroom does not have a bath, but it has a shower cubicle with a thermostatic shower and a toilet.
Outside the cottages there is ample parking and a large sheltered garden, surrounded by a high hedge containing wire netting to keep pets from straying.
Mountain Bikes available by prior arrangement.
Our Cottage Location in the New Forest and on the South Coast
Our holiday cottage is situated on the grounds of Newlands Manor, near Lymington in Hampshire. This is a fantastic location being just on the edge of the New Forest and just minutes away from the sea on the beautiful south coast. The New Forest was established in the 11th Century by none other than William the Conqueror so the entire area is steeped in history, some ancient country laws still exist there today such as the locals residents whose homes open up onto New Forest having ‘Forest Rights’
The area is perfect for those interested in walking, cycling or even horse riding. Our holiday cottage offers two bicycles available for hire if booked in advance as well as a car rack that will fit almost any car. We also offer a variety of walking and cycling maps depicting just some of the hundreds of routes around this beautiful area. There is also a stable nearby where horses can be hired for novice or experienced riders and they all have easy access to the forest. If you just want a relaxing day of golf there is a good golf course just nearby.
