Welcome to Grange Cottage Self Catering Accommodation in North Yorkshire
Grange Cottage is situated at Grange Farm in Hubberholme, one mile from the village of Buckden and a five-minute walk from the hamlet of Hubberholme, near Skipton in North Yorkshire. The farmhouse was formerly the vicarage for the 13th-Century church nearby. The author and dramatist J. B. Priestley wished to be buried at Hubberholme, and a plaque in the church in his memory states "he found Hubberholme one of the smallest and most pleasant places in the world."
The self catering cottage has two bedrooms, double and twin (link beds), with a sofa bed in the sitting room if needed. In addition to the first floor bathroom, there is a ground floor toilet and shower. The cottage is centrally heated and full of character with beams throughout and offers comfortable accommodation. There is an additional coal-effect electric fire in the sitting room, and superb views of the surrounding countryside.
The holiday cottage is equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, colour tv, and video and dvd player. There is also a stereo CD player/radio, and electricity is included in the rent. There is parking for two cars.
Our Location
The holiday cottage is located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, in ideal walking country. It has a large patio area where guests can enjoy the peaceful countryside on this working sheep and suckler cattle farm.
Buckden Village Stores and Restaurant are one mile away. The George Inn is a five-minute walk and the White Lion Inn at Cray is five minutes by car for excellent food at lunchtime and in the evenings. Home baking and more excellent food can be found at West Winds Tearooms in Buckden.
This is an excellent location in which to enjoy a great holiday throughout the year. Grange cottage is close to Skipton, and are also only an hours drive from the Lake District National Park.
