Hartley Castle is situated in a stunning rural setting overlooking Kirkby Stephen and across to the Lake District Hills and Pennine Fells. From its windows there are views across to Wild Boar Fell and at the rear a lovely private, lawned garden.
Built on the site of a 11th Century castle, the delightful property lies within walking distance of the pretty village and a footpath leads into Kirkby Stephen (approximately 1/2 mile) where there are antique shops, restaurants, tea-rooms and local inns. An ideal base for touring the Upper Eden Valley, Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, with free private fishing on the River Eden, excellent walking right from the door as well as riding, swimming and golf available within the immediate area.
Upstairs there is a well equipped kitchen and separate dining area, Sitting room with 'Living Flame' gas fire in Adam style surround, one double bedroom and bathroom. Downstaird there is a double room and Another spacious twin room with double sofa bed. There is also a utility room with laundry equipment and bathroom with luxury 3 piece suite and separate shower cubicle.
