Brackenrigg holiday cottages are located in the very heart of the Lake District, in 5 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows just 2.5 miles south of the delightful market town of Keswick and a 10 min drive from historic Grasmere. The 5000 year old Castlerigg Stone Circle is just 1.5 miles away and there is ample walking from the door from gentle strolls to rugged hikes. The views of the Helvellyn range through the picture windows of High Rigg are truly stunning, and Blencathra dominates the views to the north.
High Rigg is a luxury 4 bedroom cottage with two double, (one en-suite), and two twin-bedded rooms, each with hand basin. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath, and a separate shower room. The newly refurbished contemporary designed luxury furnished ground floor has a spacious open plan living/dining area with three large comfortable sofas, dining to seat up to 12. There is 37in flat screen TV with Sky dvd/video, cd player and Wi-Fi. The new kitchen has ceramic hobs, double oven, dishwasher, washer/drier, microwave and large fridge/freezer. The heated porch has ample storage for walking gear. High Rigg is well appointed to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Outside there is a patio area with tables, bbq, and the cottage is located in grounds extending to 5 acres, home to abundant wildlife; including our friendly red squirrels that visit the feeder by your cottage daily. There is a ball play paddock.
High Rigg can be booked as one cottage or if there is a larger group of you, in combination with our other cottages at Brackenrigg Bleaberry (sleeps 2), Brocklebeck (sleeps 2) and The Sett (sleeps 4-6).
