Welcome to our Self Catering Cottage in Eskdale, Lake District
Key How Cottage is a fantastic cottage which has recently been renovated and refurbished. Our cottage has two bedrooms, living room, Kitchen/Dining area and bathroom.
Our cottage is set in the picturesque village of Eskdale. There are hundreds of walks right from the front door either on the fells or along the banks of the River Esk, which flows from Scafell at the top of the valley down to the estuary at Ravenglass, an old fishing village complete with a ruined Roman bath-house.
The river has natural pools for swimming and is a popular place for canoeing and fishing.
The front door leads to the sitting room with its open fire, tv, dvd and CD player. A welcome pack of milk, home-made marmalade, home baked cakes, orange juice, tea & coffee and cereal is provided to start you off on your holiday.
From the sitting room is the kitchen is beyond the dining room and is fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer & washing machine. There is plenty of storage space here. The kitchen door leads to the back yard which has an outbuilding where you can store bikes.
The cottage has two bedrooms upstairs: one with a double bed and one with a set of bunks. There is also an upstairs bathroom with bath and electric shower above, sink and toilet.
At the front of the cottage is a small garden which has fantastic views of the Lakeland fells.
