Welcome to our Manor House B&B in France
Our 16 century Bourgeoise Manor house can cater for all your needs. We have a choice of 4 B&B - or Chambres d'hotes. All comfortably and attractively furnished and equipped with private bathrooms. Two of the rooms have small kitchens and can be used as self - catering.
We offer a taste of France with our continental breakfast - croissants, pain aux chocolat, yoghurt, and wonderful french pain as well as the infamous Brioche a tradition of the Vendee region. For those who prefer to barbeque, all equipment (including garden furniture) will be supplied.
Our France Location
Situated outside the small village of Monsireigne and set in breathtaking countryside, we are sure the tranquillity La Baudonnière can offer will let you rest and relax during your stay.
The Vendee area has a unique micro climate, being the second sunniest sector in France, which means you get as much sunshine as the sunny south. There are 140kms of beautiful sandy beaches all within 1 hour drive from us and are considered to be the best in Europe.
Fishing is a major pastime in the Vendee, where man-made lakes have been built specificially for fishing or try your handicap on one of the 5 golf courses in the region, seldom crowded and fees are very reasonable. For local dining, there are 2 wonderful restuarants close by. One overlooks the Lac de Rochereau and has breathtaking scenery, the other, a watermill with charming character less than 5 mins drive. Our nearest town Pouzauges has many resturants should you prefer a light tasty dinner at reasonable prices,.
The picturesque villages such as Vouvant, Bazoges en Pareds and Mervent are within 11kms from La Baudonniere. Make an effort to talk to the locals in French and their innate frendliness will shine through.
