This pretty cottage offers an excellent venue for family holidays, sharing a large fenced swimming pool (with two other cottages) and being just a short drive to the sandy beaches of La Tranche sur Mer (7 miles). In the village of La Jonchere there is a shop/bar for bread and basic necessities (200m) and at the nearby village of Angles (3 miles) you will find a good supermarket, village shops, bars and restaurants, craft gallery. At the coast you will find many holiday activities, including water sports, sailing, jet-skis, go-karts, forest walks, cycle hire, indoor fun-pool, boat trips to La Rochelle and island of Re, etc... There is a huge market on Sundays at La Faute sur Mer during the summer (12 miles).

Le Bernard (6 miles) - prehistric standing stones & dolmens. St Hilaire la Foret (9 miles) museum of prehistory. Chateau de la Guignardiere (8 miles), children's treasure trail, picnic spots. Moutiers les Mauxfaits (6 miles) 18th C covered market (market on Fridays). Golf - Port Bourgenay (17 miles), La Domangere (15 miles).
