Welcome to La Lande Sud, our Large Country House in the Dordogne

La Lande Sud is a small country estate with 2 acres of grounds in a perfect setting on a hillside with panoramic views of the valley and hills beyond.

Latest update for 2013 is completely new kitchen and utility room. In 2009 we built a stunning new main pool/terrace area with new 10 x 6 metre pool and separate baby/toddlers' pool fitted with hydrojets for the not so young.The main pool has under water lighting and the terrace is illuminated for evening relaxation. There is a second 10 x 4 metre pool with sun terrace so that everyone can enjoy a quiet swim. Both pools are fenced for safety. The approach to the house is from a small lane at the top of the hill. The driveway goes down the hill to the house through extensive grounds, which are mainly laid out to mature trees and shrubs, and features a childrens play area. The main pool and terrace is below the house and the second pool is to the side of the house.  

Accommodation comprises of 4 double and 4 twin rooms all with bathrooms ( 2 en suite rooms are in a small separate annexe) with stunning new master suite with views on 3 sides. The main sitting room has Sky TV and DVD/video player, and there is a games room with full size pool table and also with TV/DVD player. There is also a new sunroom. The dining room and outside covered terraces have seating for all. The kitchen is fully equipped for large parties each with range cooker fridge/freezers and dishwashers. The kitchen also has a Rayburn stove, and there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. All linen is provided including bath and swimming towels.The house is centrally heated and there is a Jotul woodburning stove for winter lets.

Our Location

La Lande Sud is close to the small hamlets of Bouteilles St Sebastien, St Paul Lizonne and Palluaud which have bars and restaurants, and 5 kms from St Severin and Verteillac which have a range of local shops and amenities. The old market towns of Riberac and Aubeterre are about 15 minutes away - the Friday market at Riberac is reputed to be the largest in Perigueux.
The house was built in the 80's using old materials where possible, and combines the best of modern facilities with traditional style.
