Pat and Chris would like to welcome you to visit our large luxury Peak District self catering cottages. We are a family run business specialising in luxury self catering holidays located within the very heart of Derbyshire and the Peak District and central to the many attractions and activities that Derbyshire has to offer. A great area for cycling, walking or just taking time to relax in beautiful surroundings. Both cottages are just outside the pretty market town of Ashbourne, a perfect base to explore all of Derbyshire, and into Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire.
Suitable for large groups, family celebrations, hen parties, reunions, cycling and walking groups.

Billys Bothy
This large luxury Derbyshire cottage can sleep up to 14 within 5 en suite bedrooms, with the opportunity of a 6th en suite bedroom giving a total sleeping of 16 plus 2 cots. This unusual self catering cottage is built into the slope of lush pastureland giving it ground floor access on both levels. The cottage has beams throughout, with revealed brickwork, character oak floors, scattered with Indian rugs. The bedrooms which are all en suite are beautifully furnished with comfortable brass and cast iron beds, handmade pine furniture, lcd tv’s and WiFi throughout.
At the main hall way entrance are two double en suite bedrooms which also have 1 single bed chair, plus 1 twin bedroom with second single bed chair. Next to this but with its own external entrance is the optional 6th twin en suite bedroom.
From the hallway and up the lovely oak staircase you enter a galleried kitchen which overlooks the entrance hall. The kitchen is built in handmade pine with granite work tops and is extremely well equipped with a full electric cooker with a double oven and halogen top, microwave, slow cooker, dishwasher, washer, tumble drier, large fridge freezer. To the left of the kitchen is a 3rd double bedroom. To the right of the kitchen is a beautiful dining room which can seat 14 to 16 people. Off the dining room is the large lounge with a feature glass gable end which leads out on to the patio and orchard and with a sloping path leading to the car park. The lounge has 4 comfortable sofas with other chairs and has a cosy log fire, plus full central heating throughout. Also provided is a flat screen 47” lcd tv, with dvd and Video, cd player and iPod dock for your enjoyment. A sauna is on site. You may wish to try your hand at painting in our globe which overlooks fantastic views and our nature lake.
Hillside Croft
This fabulous large luxury self catering cottage has 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 14 plus 2 single bed chairs giving a possibility of sleeping 16 by arrangement. Full of character this historic cottage is listed and dated 1709, with heavy oak beams, log fires, inglenook fireplaces, stone mullioned and leaded windows, a mix of oak , stone, tiled and carpeted floors this picture postcard cottage has it all. There are 6 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and pastureland to enjoy.
On the ground floor is the lounge with 3 comfortable sofas and bucket chair, log fire, flat screen lcd tv, dvd, video player, cd player, iPod Dock. wi fi is provided throughout and there is a pay telephone. The dining room is beautifully furnished in hand made antique pine with a large table seating 12 in comfort , up to 16 is possible. A second log stove is in this room, The well equipped kitchen is off the dining room, fitted with handmade pine units and tiled and granite work tops. Double oven electric halogen cooker, microwave, slow cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, auto washer and tumble drier. There is a WC and sink off the rear entrance hall.
On the first floor are two bedrooms, 1 double en suite with shower, wc and sink, and 1 twin, both of which have single bed chairs available. The fabulous master bathroom is on this floor and has a roll topped bath, second walk in shower, surface mounted sink with touch mirror and WC. Two bedrooms have lcd tv’s.
The 3rd floor has 3 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom is accessed via another. The first two of these have double beds plus 1 single bed each. The last bedroom has 1 double and 2 single. All beautifully furnished in silk and fresh cotton.
The stairs between floors are very shallow and easily climbed with landings at each level and suitable for the elderly or children.
Both cottages have safe off road private car parking for 5 plus vehicles, large gardens to explore or relax in, Patios with furniture and BBQ. Pampering and meals can be provided at either cottage by arrangement. Coffee makers, hair driers, clocks, cots, high chairs, potties, toilet stands and baby baths are provided. All linen, towels, heating, electricity and welcome pack is included.
