Lawn Cottage has been a quirky landmark on the edge of the small village of Godney near Glastonbury for over 150 years.
Once a Victorian hayloft at the foot of the Vicarage lawns - the cottage now provides modest yet comfortable accommodation, inviting visitors to enjoy the open views, beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife of the Somerset Levels which is all on your doorstep.
Retaining much of its original charm, the cottage features include flagstone floors, open beams and a narrow staircase. It also has an attractive modern shower-room.
Children and well behaved dogs are welcome. All linen, towels, heating, hot water, electricity and ‘welcome beverages’ are included in the tariff.
Lawn Cottage is available for memorable weeks or short breaks and there are numerous excellent eating places in the nearby towns of Wells and Glastonbury.
The cottage has one double and one single bedroom and comfortably sleeps 2 - 3, but is also popular with single guests. There is a well equipped fitted kitchen with cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of pots and pans.
Guests can relax in the cosy sitting room with flatscreen tv/dvd, and electric “woodburning” style stove. You can enjoy meals in the sunny conservatory with views across fields to Glastonbury Tor, but Godney is a farming community – so expect to see passing farm traffic too!
