Les Ecuries at La Julerie Disabled Friendly Self Catering in Brittany, Corseul holiday cottage

Welcome to Les Ecuries

This Gite has been designed to welcome wheelchair users; a gentle slope to wide front door; and also wide doors leading into the ground floor shower room which enables wheelchair access; and double French doors to the rear patio where you will find wooden furniture and a Weber barbeque. Whilst there isn’t a bedroom on the ground floor, we do place a single bed behind a screen at the rear of the salon area whenever one is required by a guest. In addition to the double and twin bedded bedrooms on the first floor, there is a settee bed on the wide landing which is ideal for 2 children or 1 adult; we therefore say that this Gite sleeps 5/6.  Built in an eco friendly manner & traditional Breton style with plenty of exposed timber. Located in very quiet rural setting, yet close to Dinan, Mont St Michel, St Malo & Moncontour. Many safe sandy beaches with sailing & surfing schools within 20 min drive. Daily Markets in local towns. Excellent restaurants catering for all pockets. & sea food specialities La Julerie can cater for groups of up to 24 people with space in La Vieille Ferme for everybody to sit and dine together (wheelchair access is also feasible to this Gite). Whilst there is WiFi at La Julerie, not all guests can get reception in this Gite (thick walls), but can get it in the adjoining games room

Heated indoor swimming pool with retractable cover to open in fine weather, the pool is over 9m x 4m x 1.65 m depth with a level bottom which is ideal for parents with infants as they can stand anywhere, but it is deep enough to enjoy a good swim; it is surrounded by a walled patio which is a lovely suntrap. Access to the pool is only through the adjoining  large games where there is a table tennis table, a seating area 2 changing rooms & a toilet and a selection of books for all and many toys for younger children

There are some bikes which are free for guests to use on a daily basis

We believe we have virtually all of the equipment parents need when taking their infants on holiday, and it is freely available- but needs booking; besides cots & high chairs, we have stair barriers, swing chairs, baby baths & changing mats, listening device, bottle steriliser & cupboard & window locks (reversible when not needed)

Pets are welcome by arrangement, but subject to an extra security deposit. Our son and family who live at La Julerie do have a dog who is very friendly but deaf and loves playing.

Lydiane our French daughter in law has her own hair salon across the yard from the Gites. In 2010 one guest wrote in our visitors book “our top tip for the week. Ask Lydiane to cut your hair- you’ll go home a different person!”
