Les Fougeres Self Catering Cottage Northern Brittany, St Helen holiday cottage

Situated in the hamlet of La Coupaudais, just outside the village of St Helen in the department of Cotes d'Armor - Northern Brittany. Surrounded by beautiful  countryside but also near to towns and cities, it is well placed for a relaxing holiday as  well as being close to lots of interesting places to visit and explore. The medieval town of Dinan is just 10 minutes drive. The port of St Malo is 15 minute's  away which lies at the mouth of the river Rance. The coastal seaside town of Dinard is  approx 20 minute's drive and has magnificent beaches. Dinard has an airport with daily  flights to and from Stansted and Bristol. The city of Rennes is about a 20 minute drive,  and is excellent for shopping with designer shops and wonderful restaurants. Rennes  has an airport with flights to and from Southampton, Manchester, Dublin, Exeter,  Edinburgh and Belfast.

This detached cottage dates from the 1920s and has been tastefully restored  and decorated. The cottage sleeps 6 plus cot and has full central heating throughout and a small log burner for cosy evenings in, which makes it ideal for holidays all year. The lounge/diner has a pine dining table and chairs, as well as sofas, satalite TV and video, there is also a large selection of videos containing films, kid's programmes and cartoons.

There is a wide range of family board games and books for all ages. The kitchen is well equipped and has been fitted with modern units. There is a large range-style cooker for those who want to practise French cuisine. A large selection of quality kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pot's, pans and serving dishes is provided. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, chrome taps and a shower attachment. There is also a separate shower cubicle, large sink and toilet. Bedrooms one and two have pine double beds with matching wardrobes and side cabinets. Bedroom three has a pine bunk bed with a set of pine drawers. There is also a travel cot which doubles as a play pen, a stair gate and highchair if required. 

There is a large garden to the rear of both the properties that has been lawned and includes a 15ft round above ground swimming pool. The gardens are enclosed with gates at the entrances. To the front of the cottage is a gravel driveway with a parking area to the side. Beyond the driveway is a two-acre meadow for all guests to roam and explore. This leads on to the Foret de Coetquen which includes mapped out walks to follow.
