The house has &B& Rooms and 4 self contained self catering flats:
Tower Flat:
Two floors above the Victorian part of the house, this flat has some fine rooms and spectacular views of sunsets over the Corryvreckan whirlpool, has 2 double/twin bedrooms, a double bedroom, a double/twin bedroom with extra bed and 5 bathrooms. The sitting room has an open fire and can have 2 beds if required.
Bachelor Flat:
On the second floor, is in the oldest part of the house. Sizeable rooms with deep coombs, odd angles and levels. Small Jacobean windows give a jewel like quality to the vista of islands and gardens. Most rooms also have big velux roof-lights, filling them with sunlight. There are 2 double/twin rooms, and 2 double/twin rooms with an extra bed, all rooms have ensuite facilities. The sitting room has an open fire and can have 2 beds if required.
Spencer Flat:
On the first floor, this one bed roomed flat has wide views over Mull and Jura, the yachts sailing in the Sound of Shuna and the horses in the Park below. The sitting room is the 18th Century ladies drawing room which has a nice marble fireplace and period cornices. There are 2 bathrooms and can have 2 beds in the sitting room.
Stewart Flat :
This one bed roomed flat has slightly less view but great sunsets. The sitting room, originally the Gentlemen’s Smoking Room has a large open fire. A double bedroom with extra bed and 2 bathrooms and can have 2 beds in the sitting room.
Each flat kitchen has unless otherwise stated: a four ring hob with extraction hood, a separate oven, fan assisted grill, auto timer etc. There is a stainless steel sink, fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine, iron and board, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, hand mixer, toaster, food processor and a reasonable selection of cooking equipment and cutlery. Further equipment can usually be provided on request.
Most rooms have a colour TV most with remote control, some with teletext, and either dvd or video. Almost all room have electric heaters. Cottages have off peak storage and water immersion heaters. All flats have oil fired central heating and hot water.
Guests can also make use of the Hall, which has a cosy seating area and selection of History/Reference Books, Stag heads, tigers and maps to peruse. In the Drawing Room there are games such as shove ha’penny, ping pong and snooker, as well as a grand piano.
