Welcome to our B&B in South West Scotland
We have 3 en-suite bed & breakfast rooms. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator, television, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary WiFi. All have ground floor access.
Breakfast which is served in the light, airy, conservatory consists of freshly prepared local produce where ever possible. The breakfast menu includes fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, homemade muesli, fruit juices, oak roast salmon, toast and preserves, porridge or a full cooked Scottish breakfast dependent upon season. We can cater for special diets by prior arrangement. On special occasions we can arrange for flowers, cakes or chocolates to be waiting in your room.
Accommodation Millbrae House
Hestan, has an comfortable king size bed to sink in to and en-suite bathroom. ( Bath with shower over ) This room opens out into a relaxing conservatory which it shares with one other room, Balcary.
Balcary, with en-suite shower room, has both a double bed and a single bed and also opens out into the conservatory. A relaxing place to sit after a busy day. This pair of rooms is popular with parties of four or five.
Drumburn, the studio suite comprises of a double bedded room opening out on to a lounge with feature fireplace and comfortable sofa. En suite shower room and kitchenette. Drumburn is a spacious sunny room and has its own external access and a small, south facing, private patio with parasol, table and chairs. We welcome dogs in Drumburn . Please advise when booking so that we can make provision for your pet
Millbrae House bed and breakfast is situated in the beautiful seaside conservation village of Rockcliffe on the scenic Colvend Coast. The surrounding countryside and coast is under the protection of the National Trust and provides many wonderful cliff, moor or forest walks. The walks over to Kippford along the Jubilee path are a pleasant way to view the Solway a must is the view from the top of the Mote of Mark where you have a panoramic view of the area.
Rockcliffe in Dumfries and Galloway is a unspoilt, quiet, peaceful location and is a ideal holiday destination. Its climate is mild due to the influence of the Gulf Stream the area was once known as the Scottish Riviera. The area has many interesting gardens and National Trust properties of Threave and Broughton House.
Kippford is our neighbouring village and hosts two pubs seving food and local ales. Kippford is a yatching village and each year holds the Kippford Regatta a weeks event of yatch racing. There are lovely walks along the water front and around the Muckle. sea angling trips can be arranged from Kippford pier. The Ark gift shop sells local specialty foods and gifts.
