Welcome to our Holiday Cottages in Shropshire
We have five well-equipped character cottages set in beautiful countryside near Ludlow. Our cottages are around a south-facing courtyard with further gardens and grass area for visitors to enjoy. There are stunning views towards the Clee Hills and beyond. Working farmland is all around, with easy access for walking from the door provided by a network of public footpaths. We are pleased to welcome well behaved pets and children of all ages.
Kit and Weavers cottages are single-storey with no internal steps and open directly onto the flat, paved courtyard. They are ideal for less mobile guests and we can provide some useful equipment to help you to be comfortable during you stay. Each cottage accommodates two people and has a double bed.
Stable Cottage is ideal for a couple and has a king-size double bed which can be split to provide single beds. It is a two-storey with glorious views across farmland toward Ludlow and the Clee Hills. The comfortable seating and old, decorative kitchen range in the lounge area have made this a popular cottage with many of our guests.
Kibble Mill is a delightful two-storey cottage facing away from the courtyard. It has a galleried bedroom and is furnished with a hint of yesteryear. It makes an ideal base for a romanitic get-a-way. The low beam in the bedroom all adds to the character of the cottage, but our taller guests need to take care in the bedroom.
Jinney Ring is the largest of our cottages and has one double and two single bedrooms upstairs and a comfortable sofa- bed in the lounge area. It is fully equipped for up to 6 people and has a dishwasher and washing machine
The courtyard has tables and chairs for outdoor eating and relaxing. Guests are also welcome to use our large grass area and to enjoy the flower borders. We garden organically and sometimes have surplus fruit and vegetables available. Guests are always welcome to help themselves to herbs from the garden to use in their cooking. The area is well known for the excellent food and drink available, so your taste buds will be tingling whether you decide to eat out or cook in your cottage.
We welcome pets and children of all ages. Short breaks are available for a minimum of three nights. We are open all year. We are pleased to offer a discount for guests arriving by public transport and for those returning to Mocktree Barns. Please mention this when booking.
