Welcome to the Old Manse of Craggan Bed and Breakfast within the Glenlivet Estate in Banffshire, in the Highlands of Scotland.
Simon & Liz would be pleased to welcome you to their home in the Moray area. As the name suggests the house is indeed an old manse built in 1854.
If you are looking for a quiet and friendly rural retreat in the heart of Speyside then Old Manse of Craggan is the B&B for you. Relax after your journey with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake in your room, in our lounge or on pleasant summer days in our ‘sittooterie’ with stunning views overlooking the Cromdale Hills and Avon River (pronounced A’an).
Our rooms are spacious and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable, which I’m sure you will agree is most important! The large private bathroom is situated right next to the bedroom. It has a walk in shower and roll top bath and the added luxury of under floor heating. Parking is off road and your car can be accommodated in a garage should you so wish.
Our Location
Should you be walking the Speyside Way then Old Manse of Craggan B&B is ideal accommodation for you as we are approximately a mile from the Tomintoul spur. We are very happy to give a lift to walkers who do not have transport and also supply packed lunches if required.
We are open all year and look forward to welcoming you soon for what we hope will be the first of many visits.
The Glenlivet Estate offers many activities including walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing. Some of the finest scenery in the Grampian Mountains can be found here.
Golf and Skiing
There are several golf courses within easy reach from Old Manse of Craggan, the nearest being Ballindalloch and Dufftown. There is a ski centre at the Lecht near Tomintoul, which is twelve miles away and you can be skiing on the Cairngorms at Aviemore within forty five minutes from our B&B.
