If you want stay in a beautiful artistic house, where you will have the opportunity to view fine sculpture and art, then Papas House is a must. Papas’ House is named after the previous owner and friend. It has stood on the seafront for over a hundred years, being witness to many generations of fishing boats, seagulls, and donkeys. Although the donkeys have been replaced, the charm of the place remains.
It has all the comforts one would expect and is beautifully presented. The open plan living area downstairs provides light and space. All windows overlook the blue Aegean sea. Fine art is on display throughout, and the book shelves are full. The living room offers 2 lounge beds that face the large fireplace, an old Greek couch and a huge counter for writing or just spreading out your thoughts. The large dining table allows for festive gatherings, and overlooks the bay. The kitchen serves as the main entrance into the house, fitted with practical appliances. The top level has air-conditioning in all the three bedrooms, a large bathroom with a spacious shower, and a terrace facing the sea. The green bedroom has a queen size bed, a library, a cabinet with drawers and shelves, and two small chairs with a table and views to the sea. The blue room has French doors which open onto the terrace, a single bed, a futon style couch, a library, and cabinet with drawers that open into a desk. The master bedroom offers the most space, with a large king sized bed, baby crib, and a walk-in closet with cabinets and drawers. Large French doors open onto the terrace; windows and a stained glass window surround the bed with plenty of natural light, and the candy colours of the stained glass, which floods the room.
papas' house is at the southern mandrakia side of ermioni and is perfectly situated for many historical places of interest, including beaches and the Saronic islands of Spetses, Hydra and Poros. Across the road from papas' house one can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters. The large spacious courtyard is filled with, garden furniture, B-B-Q, parasol and a hammock. For the sports enthusiastic there is a table tennis table. The owners are very artistic and in the basement, one can view some pieces of sculpture. A short stroll from the house will bring you to all the local amenities and tavernas. Ermioni is a fantastic base for those who wish to experience a traditional Greek holiday, besides exploring the great historical and cultural sites. notice……..A night club neighbours Papas’ House, which is only open during the Greek festive periods and summer months. This may be a cause of alarm for the light sleepers since the noise from the street, and neighbouring dance clubs can be unpredictable. This may be a disadvantage of being on the seafront perhaps, however, air conditioning affords one to close the windows, and block out most late night/early morning wanderers, or stray mopeds on their way home.
