Who we are and what's on offer.
Combining alpine charm with modern facilities, our aim is to provide comfortable, affordable accommodation and a high standard of client care. At Rivendell Ranch the emphasis is very much on creating a homely atmosphere for our guests. With this in mind, we offer self-catering, bed and breakfast or half-board accommodation. Rivendell Ranch offers a value-for-money dining experience in convivial surroundings. The breakfast is Continental; the evening meal menus are normally three-course (with wine) and reflect the tastes and cuisine of the area. Prices for Half-Board accommodation start at 45 Euros pppn (Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meal.) Vegetarian/special diets can be catered for if notice is given. Rivendell Ranch is made up of four apartments; and,on the ground floor, a large,comfortable lounge/dining area complete with log burning stove. For guests who prefer to self-cater, all of the studios and apartments come fully equipped and furnished including microwave, electric hob, fridge and crockery. Tea and coffee making facilities and bedding are also available and are included in the cost. Each apartment benefits from oil fired central heating and double glazing. Pets are welcome - there is an in-house dog (Male) who is very people-friendly.
Where we are.
Near the resorts of Flumet and Megeve, Rivendell Ranch is the perfect holiday location for families, groups or the independent traveller. Due to the rural location of Rivendell Ranch, car hire is advisable. We can help organise activities including skiing, cycling, hiking and white-water rafting. For guests who prefer to take in the sights and explore the area, we can provide advice and information upon request. The resorts of Chamonix and Annecy are approximately 45 minutes drive from Rivendell Ranch; Geneva and Italy are approximately 1hr 30 minutes away. Rivendell Ranch has a local ski area just across the road (Les Rafforts) which offers subsidized skiing in a family-friendly environment. However for the more adventurous the resorts of the Espace Diamant are all nearby. Kevin, your experienced host at Rivendell Ranch, will be able to advise and assist you with all your skiing requirements - including ski-hire, ski-school and ski-guides.
