The adjoining 4* "River bridge House", also has fishing rights. Convenient village location and in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park
The village of Llangynidr is well-known for its 5 canal locks and ancient, narrow bridge and is the perfect base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park.
There are many things to see and do within the immediate vicinity and there are some really special places that you can reach, right from your doorstep. Aside from the pretty canal-side walks, one of our favourite strolls is the walk along the river bank, taking in great picnic spots and places to swim along the way.
The scenery around the village is spectacular. There are stunning views of Llangynidr Mountain and the other surrounding hills and countryside from every direction.
The Brecon Beacons National Park provides a wealth of things to see and do and is the perfect destination for every kind of outdoor activity! There are also many interesting towns and villages to visit - Hay on Wye ("The Town of Books") is only 20 minutes away; Crickhowell (10 minutes away) also provides an interesting day out, with its wonderful mix of interesting shops and cafes. Brecon is also well worth a visit and the beautiful cathedral is open to the public.
