This little gem lives up to its name and is tucked away within the confines of an old walled orchard of Bosavern House - a cornish country house which dates back to the 17th century. The site is surrounded on three sides by cornish hedges, shelter trees and a profusion of flowering shrubs. With only 12 level grass pitches, it offers the peace and tranquility of the countryside combined with easy access to both the stunning coastline and beaches - and also the historic mining town of St Just.
All pitches have electric hook ups; the facilities block contains a kitchen area with laundry, fridge and microwave - in addition to toilets and showers. There is a chemical waste disposal point and recycling is positively encouraged.
Bosavern House itself is a 4 star guesthouse and its lounge bar is also available to guests staying in the Secret Garden. Take-away breakfasts and evening meals may be ordered from the guesthouse or, if space permits, breakfasts may be booked in the house. During the summer months home-baked cream teas are served in the gardens, or dining room, according to the weather.
There is no need for a car here. Within 20 minutes you can walk down the beautiful Cot Valley to the sea, or 12 minutes into St Just for provisions. The summer bus service also stops directly outside Bosavern House - what better way to enjoy a trip to St Ives or Lands End, than sitting on top of the open top bus.
