The rural apartment is made up of a bedroom with a double bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, mirror and lamps. There is an ensuite with a walkin and stepover shower, washbasin and loo. The other room is an open plan sitting/dining/kitchen. The kitchen is typically Andaluz offered with a good array of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. The kitchen is freshly stocked with some basics like bottled water, milk, juice, bread, butter, jam and eggs for your arrival.
Marguerita is part of a whitewashed house with an Andalucian vine-covered patio and a gravelled garden with its own entrance and parking. A short walk will take you to the local bar/restaurant and shop for those emergency supplies. It is quiet here but not isolated being just 3 minutes' drive from the main road and within a 15 minutes' journey to the main motorway which connects to the rest of Andalucia. A 5 minutes' drive south will take you to Tapia where you will find all local amenities including the municipal pool. 10 minutes north will see you in the beautiful mountain village of Iznajar with all amenities as well as its municipal pool and also its stunning lake and beach Valdearenas.
Situated where the 3 provincesof Cordoba, Granada and Malaga meet, we are well placed for day trips to the main cultural sites of Andalucia - Cordoba and its Mezquita, Granada and The Alhambra and The Sierra Nevada, Sevilla and The Giralda, Malaga and the Costa del Sol, Guadix and its cavehouses, Antequera and El Torcal, Alhama de Granada and its ancient baths, Jaen with LaMota Fortress in Alcala la Real, Laguna de Fuente de Piedra and its thousands of flamingos and Ronda and its spectacular Brdige just to name a few.
Where we are makes birdwatching at Fuente de Piedra or Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (Garganta del Chorro), walking in El Torcal, exploring La Subbetica and the Poniente Granadino or visiting some of the towns and villages on the Washington Irving Route or the Route of the Caliphs ideal.
If you prefer not to venture too far out, why not bring a book and pack a picnic and head towards the lake to spend a lazy afternoon away from the hustle and bustle of it all........parking is anyway you can find a space on the beach!
Please note that car hire is essential. We welcome smokers but we kindly ask that they do not smoke indoors please. As the house is old, unfortunately it is not suitable for children or pets. As the apartment is all on ground level, guests with very minor mobility problems may find it acceptable.
