Our cosy log cabin is situated above the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. Ideal for a romantic retreat for couples or a family holiday. Snowbear log cabin is traditionally built with silver pine logs and fully equipped with all the modern essentials to make your holiday comfortable and more relaxing.
There are 2 downstairs twin bedrooms (can also be made up into doubles) . 2 single beds on the mezzanine with 2 floor mattresses suitable for children. There is also a double sofa bed in the open plan lounge. After a tiring day's activities, curl up in front of the welcoming fire or relax in your own private sauna. It is only a short walk to the well-stocked supermarket and local restaurants.
The long ski season with guaranteed snow provides ideal conditions for a wide range of activities for all. Enjoy uncrowded downhill skiing/snowboarding-excellent for beginners, intermediates and family skiing. Extensive cross country ski tracks (330km) start close to the cabin. Other activities available locally include snowmobiling, husky sled trips, snowshoeing and ice fishing. Visit Santa, learn about the Sami way of life, enjoy a reindeer sleigh ride. Reindeer, squirrels and birds can often be seen from the cabin. Good chance of observing the Northern Lights, conditions permitting.
In summer, experience the midnight sun. Enjoy "everyman's right" to roam and explore the beautiful fells, forests and lakes on your doorstep by foot, bike, canoe or horse. Come in autumn to enjoy the beautiful colours of "Ruska"
