The sunset lodge is a small self catering apartment in Rossnowlagh, Donegal. The lodge is situated on the cliff with spectacular views of the ocean, making it perfect for either a romantic getaway or a short break. A five minute walk away is Rossnowlagh beach, ideal for relaxing, fishing or Watersports including surfing.
Our Rossnowlagh holiday accommodation
Our Self-catering apartment has one bedroom with en suite, as well as a kitchen/livingroom/dining room. There is an outdoor patio area that offers one of the best sea views in Donegal, also a private garden on the edge of the cliff for your barbecue or romantic sundowner. Our one room self catering apartment is small and convenient.
Perfect for a romantic break or just a few days rest and relaxation, our self catering holiday accommodation offers the perfect mix of tranquillity and activity.
We are pet friendly, for now, for small pets only. (King Charles is ok. Collie is too big.) The apartment is not large enough for larger dogs but we hope, in the near future, to provide on site kennel accommodation for larger dogs so that they can share a run on the beach with their owners.
Our self catering apartment is situated on a cliff overlooking Rossnowlagh beach and Donegal Bay, right on the Atlantic coast in County Donegal, Ireland. With beach casting and deep sea angling nearby, this location is perfect for anglers. The waves at Rossnowlagh beach are also great if you like surfing and other water sports such as coasteering or windsurfing. Equipment is available for hire local. In addition, several surf schools operate in Rossnowlagh, teaching from beginnners to advanced.
The self catering lodge is in a great location for walking, with a cliff walk of several miles going west and miles of beach walking extending northwards. There is much to explore inland also in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh is just a 15 minute drive away, and Bundoran golf links is within easy driving distance. Local amenities include Smugglers Creek award winning pub/restaurant less than a minute's walk away.
Franciscan Friary with peaceful wooded grounds and walks is also close by. Also within driving distance are beautiful Glenveagh National Park and the Sligo Yeats Country.
