Welcome to Swilland Mill, Luxury Self Catering, Suffolk
Swilland Mill was originally a Victorian Grade II listed building built in the 1890s. It has now been converted into three 5 Star luxury holiday homes – The Granary, The Lucam and The Mylen and can also be booked as one big house, perfect for those special occasions. Whilst depicting the epitome of modern living it retains many original features which gives it charm and grace.
The Granary - Cottage Number 1 (sleeps 4 + 1 cot)
A store house for grain. This was originally linked by a gangplank to the windmill adjacent to it. The door can still be seen on the side wall of the building. The Granary is an open plan spacious two bedroom house, set over two floors that retains many features of the original Mill but offers a luxury living accommodation. We hope we have thought of every amenity to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as we can but welcome any further ideas to constantly remain at the top. We love the feel of The Granary with it's vibrant reds and hope you will too. The idea is to relax with our 42” satellite tv, play with the Nintendo Wii games console, read or play parlour games. Watch the stars whilst luxuriating in our Hot Tub or have a bbq in your own private garden and chill whilst the children play Swingball... Of course, you can always enjoy beautiful Suffolk – now that's an idea!
The Lucam - Cottage Number 2 (sleeps 8 + 2 cots)
A projecting structure in the roof of a mill which contained the winch. This now forms a dressing room and a view. The Lucam is the middle house of the Mill, covering four floors and also the Matriarch, big and beautiful. Three bedrooms over two floors and two bathrooms and enough room for everyone to eat and relax if using the whole Mill as one big house or a great family get away. Enjoy the 50” satellite TV and Nintendo Wii games console or have a movie night with the projector and screen – you can even have the simple life with books and parlour games if you want to escape the 'mad, mad world'. Your private garden is just that, an escape with fish pond, Gazebo, Swingball and BBQ. The shared hot tub at night is a must with chilled champagne and if you need more, just enjoy Suffolk. The Mylen - Cottage Number 3 (sleeps 4 + 1 cot)
Old English for 'Mill'. Situated over 4 floors, The Mylen is pure luxury for two couples or Mum, Dad and children, offering two bedrooms – one ensuite, and a family bathroom. Original features sit alongside modern living. A quiet with the 42” satellite tv, nintendo Wii games console, games nights by the log fire, watching a movie on the projector and screen or play parlour games and read. Your private garden has a fish pond, Gazebo, bbq and Swingball. When you have exhausted all the Mill has to offer, expand the boundaries. Suffolk has some wonderful places to visit – give them a try and on your return the our hot tub will be waiting for you to relax in and plan another glorious day!
Swilland Mill as One Big House (sleeps 16 + 4 cots)
To have the whole Mill provides a wealth of benefits; Privacy for each party but togetherness for the main events. The dining table in The Lucam is large enough for 16 which makes it ideal for Anniversaries, Christmas, that special Birthday or just a 'Get Together' of friends and family. The gardens, the hot tub and cinema screens all lend themselves to a very special and memorable time.
