Welcome to our Cottages and B&B in Suffolk
Thatched Farm is a charming Grade II listed property surrounded by open countryside, woods and footpaths in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestling in its own 2 acres of beautifully maintained gardens, we are 5 minutes from both Woodbridge and Waldringfield, on Suffolk's Heritage Coast. Within 5 mins driving there are several pubs for dining, shops, the River Deben.
Bed and Breakfast
Our B&B has two confortable cottage style double rooms available in the main farmhouse. A double room on the ground floor and double room on the first floor. Both rooms have a private shower room and sitting area/breakfast area with TV. Free wireless internet access and plenty of parking.
A small dog is welcome in the ground floor room - please discuss with owner.
Bed and Breakfast prices - £38-£48 per person per night in double room, Single occupany - £55 per night.
Self catering cottages -
Set in pretty surroundings there are 2 self catering cottages in the 2 acre grounds of Thatched Farm.
One time farm buildings the cottages have been newly renovated to provide a comfortable, quiet rural base from which to explore the lovely Suffolk Coast.
Daffodil Cottage sleeps 3 + a sofabed.
Downstairs there is a sitting/dining room, a newly fitted kitchen with all appliances and a shower room.
Upstairs there is a double mezzanine bedroom plus a single mezzanine bedroom. The single has steep steps so is not suitable for children under 8 or for those with mobility problems.
Bluebell Studio sleeps 2 in a double.
All on the ground floor there is a newly fitted kitchen and a shower room.
Down one step to the bed/sitting room with double bed, easy chairs, TV. French windows open out onto the garden.
There is a laundry room on site, plenty of parking, storage for bikes and Wifi internet access for both cottages.
Both cottages have their own garden table and chairs plus there is plenty more furniture in the garden for you to enjoy.
A small dog is welcome in the cottages.
Our Location
Situated between the village of Waldringfield and Woodbridge on the River Deben, Thatched Farm is only a short drive to explore the Concert Halls at Snape, Framlingham Castle, the quaint Victorian seaside spa town of Southwold, Sutton Hoo, historic Aldeburgh, nearby bird-watching at rspb minsmere and the lively hub of Ipswich with its high street shopping and quay-side dining to name but a few.
Our Activities
Whether you are visiting Suffolk to enjoy its wildlife-rich river and coastal walks and cycle routes, one of the many golf and sailing opportunities, beaches, fantastic restaurants, or just to immerse yourself in the local culture, music festivals or quaint Suffolk towns and villages, Thatched Farm can provide an oasis of calm and tranquillity in which to retreat and relax. There are several nearby pubs offering lunches and evening meals, a large supermarket and golf course welcoming visitors, all within 5-10 minutes drive
