On special we have Lobster caught off Ilfracombes harbour brought to us by a local fisherman as well as meats from local butchers. A recent journalist commented: the steak melted in my mouth like ice cream in the summer sun and the home cooked chips were cooked to perfection. Our restaurant is featured in North Devon Food and Drink as well as Devon Food and Drink guide. Next door to the Restaurant we have the cool Cafe Bar - where some say you get the best coffee in town! Our guests can also sit by our picture windows on comfortable Chesterfield sofa's and just watch the world go by. The Restaurant and Cafe Bar are the newest addition to Ilfracombes growing culinary scene. There a many excellent dining experiences to be had in Ilfracombe which is beginning to be recognised as a foodie destination.Ilfracombe is the largest coastal resort in North Devon but that should not fool you. It is a lovely small town full of character and beauty and a fantastic base from which to explore the many delights of North Devon. The town itself has a lovely victorian beach which is accessed through tunnels the Landmark theatre with its superb offering of shows and an award winning Aquarium. The Harbour is a jaw dropping sight with fantastic views as far as Wales on a clear summers day. The Capstone hotel is mere moments level walking distance to the attractions. We are also at the foot of some glorious coastal walks that stretch out for miles! For the more adventurous traveler surfing is the main sport of choice and the beautiful surfing beaches of Woolacombe Croyde and Saunton are close by. On warm summer days just relaxing on these beaches and watching the surfers ride the waves can be exhilirating enough.
