Welcome to the The Charterhouse Bed and Breakfast on the coast of Devon.A delightful Edwardian Residence offering bed and breakfast accommodation. Set in an enviable position within lush gardens and offering a tranquil environment. We are within a few minutes walk of Cockington Village and Country Park less than 100 metres to the sea front and within walking distance of Torquay Centre with its Marina Shops Conference Centre Theatre and Railway Station. Delicious home cooked breakfasts using superior ingredients from local suppliers where possible together with a selection of cereals breads fruit and yoghurts etc. Situated in the peaceful surroundings of Cockington Valley with its historical thatched village but just 150 yards from Livermead beach and providing a superb base for enjoying Torbay. The Charterhouse offers a heated outdoor swimming pool from May to September large private car park and a very warm welcome. Our delightful gardens are an ideal place to sit and enjoy a summer's evening with a glass of wine and although we are not licensed to sell alcohol our guests are more than welcome to provide their own favourite tipple. All rooms are shower en-suite and have colour TV and teacoffee making facilities. Children most welcome and we also have two garden rooms which are ideal for guests with their pets by prior arrangement only. Please note that dogs are not allowed in any other part of the hotel. free wiFi now available in many of our rooms. free large car park.
